Tony Brown, Managing Director

Tony Brown has over 25 years of experience in global markets, executive search and management consulting.

Tony has had in-depth experience with several major retained executive search firms involving international executive recruiting.  He served in a leadership capacity with Horton International in NY and also with the boutique executive search firm, Whitney Group, where he developed a Finance, Administration, and Operations practice.  Prior to this he was a Senior Managing Director and the Global Head of Staffing & Recruiting at Bear Stearns, where he was responsible for professional and campus recruiting as well as an internal executive search program.  Tony joined Bear Stearns from the search industry and had been a Principal at Egon Zehnder International in New York.

Tony joined executive search from Bankers Trust Company, where he was a Managing Director and head of an internal consulting group.  He began his consulting career in the Financial Institutions Practice at McKinsey & Company, where he was an Engagement Manager.  Tony also worked as a trader at Lehman Brothers where he helped initiate the firm’s fixed income derivatives business.  Tony began his career at Cobe Labs, a high tech biomedical device manufacturer in Colorado.

Tony holds a BA in Engineering and Applied Sciences from Harvard University and an MBA from Stanford Business School.

Tony’s role as a leader extends into larger professional and civic communities. He served as a Board Member of the Academy of Finance in New York and the New York Chapter of the March of Dimes.  He was a member of the Board of the Association of Internal Management Consultants.  He is on the Board of the Abyssinian Development Corporation.  Tony is also a member of the Board of Advisors for the Macaulay Honors College of City University of New York.

Andrea Henderson, Managing Director

Andrea has over 15 years experience as an International Human Resources Professional.

After working with two boutique search firms, Andrea launched Renaissance Staffing in 2007 as a sole proprietor to provide strategic talent and programmatic solutions to the marketplace. Renaissance Staffing obtained certification as a minority- and woman-owned firm by the NY/NJ Minority Supplier Development Council, New York State and New York City.  Recently, with the addition of two partners, the firm became Renaissance Search Partners LLC - a boutique Executive Search and HR Consulting Firm specializing in Middle Office Financial Services, Consumer Products, Consulting, and Corporate infrastructure roles.

Andrea handles all phases of client mandates expertly, including initial candidate outreach and tracking, screening, managing the interview processes, reference checking, closing the offer and bringing the candidate on board. She is continually building her network within the financial services, brand marketing, consulting, real estate and non-profit universe; focusing mainly on education and board of directors in the non-profit space.

She is on the Board of the African American Alumni Association of Columbia Business School, serves on the Board Access Committee of the Council of Urban Professionals (CUP) and writes a column for Examiner.com on NY Executive Careers. She is also a member of 85 Broads, 100 Women in Hedge Funds, National Association of Female Executives and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority.

She has spoken at the Thurgood Marshall Foundation Leadership Summit, has consulted with NYU Stern’s MBA Career Services and has been profiled in the book, Naked Ambition by business psychologist, Dr. Debra Condren.

She continues to advocate for issues about which she is passionate: youth development, education, professional development and diversity, and socially responsible business, among others.

Andrea obtained a BS from the Edmund A. Walsh School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University, an MA in International Relations from Clark Atlanta University and an MBA from Columbia Business School.
